Emergency Support Needed

October 20, 2014

Public Service Announcement

We are highlighting one very caring young lady. She needs our support. Her goal is to obtain adequate housing and food for her and the family. The pleasant family consists of her sister, two brothers, daughter, and mother. This family is struggling for the past two month to find housing that is large enough to comfortably accommodate everyone. They are also striving in the face of difficulties to keep the school-age children in one steady school. A constant set of classmates, teachers, and routine would improve the lives of this family deeply. This would also prevent disarray and disorganization. The highlighted youth is struggling to look for employment and care for her pre-school age daughter. She has a brilliant idea of studying online. Her studies brought curiosity to our educational services. She is a very motivated and active student. The skills she is gaining leads closer to the goal of obtaining adequate housing. Yet, she and her family are in great need of money to quickly get out of the tight grip of an over-cramped residence. There are six persons living in 450 square feet of space. Please give generously to the educational advancement of this young lady as she seeks to improve the living situation of her struggling family.

Impact of Technology on the Parent and the Learner

May 6, 2014

RE: Healthcare Informatics Resources (2012 June 18) Impact of Technology on the Teacher and the Learner [Blog Post] Retrieved from https://healthcare-informatics-resources.com/2012/06/18/impact-of-technology-on-the-teacher-and-the-learner/

The impact of technology on the parent and the student is very great. Parents should not be afraid to embrace online learning and computer usage. When parents support their children in the use of online education and tutoring, the achievement levels go way up! A request is made of leaders and parents to financially support this goal. Please spread the word to others.

Distributed Education: valuable in the healthcare environment (comment)

March 31, 2014

Many health care professions are required to continue their education in order to keep their license. The internet is a great source for these requirements. The internet allows professions from different states, and even countries, to collaborate and teach each other something new. This also helps with computer skills and knowledge. Technology is already a big part in the medical field and it is only going to keep growing. Having computer skills is necessary in any medical profession.

Future Population Trends, comment

RE: Healthcare Informatics Resources (2013 June 6) Future Population Trends [Blog Post] Retrieved from https://healthcare-informatics-resources.com/2013/06/06/future-population-trends-2/

This article was very interesting and I agree that as generations grow more resources for healthcare will have to be available. Changes in society, technology, and healthcare will effect new healthcare systems. People are living longer which stresses the importance of having more health care systems. Technology is becoming increasingly relevant to healthcare. People can use the internet for resources and to get more access to healthcare. Access to technology is very important I think to increase education and will help providers and consumers. I believe with the rate technology is growing we will get more information on cures for diseases and learn alot about healthcare needs.

Should The Continuing Education for RN Licensure Include Specific Courses

August 22, 2013

Having taken Advanced Physiological Nursing and Advanced Pathophysiology and now Advanced Health Assessment I have come to realize that state boards of nursing should consider requiring nurses to repeat these courses after a set period of time (every 5 or 10 years). Advanced Health Assessment is allowing me to tie the other two courses together and really evaluate my assessment skills and further enhance the care I give my patients. Advanced Health Assessment has made me look that much closer, feel that much more and listen that much better. It doesn’t matter what area of nursing you work (Forensic Nursing, at the Bedside or teaching) learning to use all of your senses in more detail will make you a better nurse.
